Meeting notes: July 11, 2016

The meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm by Club Vice-President Mike Rollins. There were 18 members and 4 visitors in attendance.

Secretary’s Report :Ron Burke
• Minutes from June were read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report :John Farmer
• Total Field Day costs: $87.54

Trustee’s Report :
• The repeater is working fine.

ARES Report : Ron Burke
• Hospital net this month on 147.570 MHz 9:30am Thursday, July 21, 2016.
• Ron thanked the club for allowing HCARES to participate in this year’s Field Day.
• During this year’s Field Day, the HCARES Ham Training Class VE team passed 6 new hams that are Technician level, and one upgrade to General level.

Old Business :
• Mike Rollins will give the club a report of this year’s Hilltop contest, which will be on September the 24th.

New Business :
• Bill Miller brought up a special program for the next club meeting.
• A motion was made by Barry Palencer to have Bill Miller follow up on his suggestion for a special program at our next club meeting and book it. Chris Harrison seconded the motion. Motion passed.
• The Club’s Trustee for the repeater will be John Farmer.
• The Club Tech. Committee will be in charge of maintaining the repeater equipment and the inside of the fenced in area that surrounds the repeater building and tower will be: Brian Dickerson, Andrew Thomas, Chris Harrison, Wayne Michael, Erik Cohee.
• Field Day results for 2016 were discussed. 938 total projected points and 72 in attendance.

Other Announcements :
• The H.C.R.C.S.G. (Hendricks County Radio Communications Support Group) will host a Tailgate Fest at the American Legion Post #118 in Danville. The date is August 13th.
• Eric Cohee mentioned that his repeater has a 442.025 for wires-x and 145.650 for link to the 224.220.

Meeting closed : At 8:57 pm Wayne Michael made a motion to close the meeting, which was seconded by Bill Miller.
