Meeting Notes: January 11, 2016

The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by President John Farmer. There were 21 members and 5 visitors in attendance.
* V.P. Mike Rollins took over after the introductions.
* John Farmer made a motion to hold the club meeting until after the special presentation by the Avon Robotic club. Dave Leimenstoll seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Secretary’s Report :Ron Burke
• Minutes from November with one amendment and of the clubs Christmas dinner were read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report :Wayne Fox
• Was read to the club.

Trustee’s Report : Wayne Fox
• The repeater is working fine. It is winterized till Spring.

ARES Report : Ron Burke
• Hospital nets start this month on 147.570 MHz, Thursday, January 21st.
• Training classes in January. 16th and 23rd : Nims training classes. 30th Introduction to Digital radio.

Old Business :
• The club came in 4th place on the Hilltop Contest. Total of nine hilltops participated.
• Wayne Michael volunteered to be head of the Adrian Parsons special event amateur radio station. Tom Hansen will help.

Other Announcements :
• Dennis Gilbey will be selling some test equipment at the Brownsburg hamfest. Dennis donated to the club a service monitor which Chris Harrison will store at his residence for keeping.
• Ham training classes will start January 27th at the Senior Services Center. Time will be 7-9pm and run for ten weeks.
• The club gave a check to the Avon Robotic club.

Special Report :
• The Avon Robotic club gave a discussion and display of what they do and the contest they are in.

Meeting closed : At 8:57 pm Gordon Cotton made a motion to close the meeting, which was seconded by Bill McCleary.
