Indianapolis Radio Club Hilltop Operating Event

All HCARS members are encouraged to come out to, or work, the HCARS Hilltop Contest station, N9HC, this Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We'll be operating from Weakley Hill, elev. 1030 feet. Hot dogs will be available!

There's lots to do: set up antennas, operate, log, and generally have a good time. The weather should be excellent.

Each contact with N9HC is worth a point toward the club’s score, so please get on the air and try the bands and modes you have available. The 10 meter frequency is available to Techs.

Your QSO with N9HC (as with any Hilltop station) is worth FIVE points, if you are a pre-registered (by 11:59 p.m. Thursday 9/24) Hilltop station; see for more information.

Hilltop operating frequencies are as follows:
2m FM 146.460 mHz, +/- .030
2m SSB 144.250 mHz, +/- .025
6m FM 52.550 mHz, +/- .025
6m SSB 50.200 mHz, +/- .025
10m SSB 28.400 mHz, +/- .025

If you’re coming out, people will gather at McDonald’s in Danville around 8 a.m. then go out to set up antennas. From Danville go north on SR 39 about 1.5 miles and turn left onto SR 236; proceed west about 2 miles until you see the yellow “HAM RADIO” signs.

Mike WA9NCF is the chairman of this year's HCARS Hilltop entry.
