Meeting notes: June 8, 2015

The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by President John Farmer. There were 18 members and 3 visitors in attendance.

Secretary’s Report: Ron Burke

Minutes from May were read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Wayne Fox

Expenses for the month; 9ft stainless steel cable, 600ft of poly rope, 12 padlocks.

Trustee’s Report:

The repeater is working fine.

ARES Report : Ron Burke

Have invited 40 county, local officials to Field Day. This in this list includes our County Commissioners, EMA, Sheriff, various local police, and fire chiefs, and the administrative staff of both Hendricks Regional and I.U. Health West hospitals.

RACES Report : Bob Burns

New RACES ID’s are being formed and will be issued at a later date.

SKYWARN activation procedures can be found on the Hendricks County RACES webpage (www.hendricksraces.org).

Old Business :

Field Day discussion from Tom Hansen.

New Business :

Gordon Cotton’s doctor has told Gordon that a proposed antenna site on the radio tower that is attached at the doctor’s office cannot be done due to the doctor’s insurance company’s liability statement.

Hilltop is September 26. Rules will be the same as last year.

Other Announcements:

The ADA Tour-De-Cure is June 20. Mike Palmer N9FEB needs help from hams on this event. Contact him at indyhams.org.

Brownsburg 4th of July parade needs hams to volunteer in parade line-up. If interested contact Harold Davis K9PZ.

The club received a plaque from the Avon Roborioles, thanking the club for their support.

Meeting closed: At 8:20 pm Gordon Cotton made a motion to close the meeting, which was seconded by Dave Leimenstoll.
