Meeting notes: May 11, 2015

The meeting was called to order at 7:08pm by President John Farmer. There were 18 members and 4 visitors in attendance.

Secretary’s Report: Ron Burke

--Minutes from April were read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Wayne Fox
--Report was read and approved.

Trustee’s Report:

--The repeater is working fine.

ARES Report: Ron Burke

--Invited our ARRL Indiana Section Emergency Coordinator Brent Walls, N9BA to the HCARS Field Day site. He accepted.
--Will be involved in the Indiana Section NTS and ARES Simulated Emergency Exercise on Wednesday May 13th. The primary goal of this exercise is to
demonstrate and practice NTS ability to accept traffic from ARES personnel and route traffic to the intended destination directly using an established NTS net.
--Bob Burns our District Emergency Coordinator talked about ITN on 3910 at 8:30am daily. Another ITN on 3940 at 6pm daily. Also Indiana Section ARES net is on every Sunday at 5pm on 3900 KHz, or 7280 KHz.

RACES Report : Bob Burns

--Talked about some weather information.
--The hams will not be involved in the Park-To-Park marathon this year.

Old Business:

--Field Day discussion

New Business :

--Dayton Hamvention discussion.
--Hilltop is September 26. Rules will be the same as last year. Mike Rollins will be our representative for this event.
--Gordon Cotton’s doctor has a radio tower that is attached at the doctor’s office. Gordon inquired if the 147.015 repeater be moved to this location if needed. He is waiting for a response from the doctor.

Other Announcements :

--The weekly Tuesday Night Net will make some frequency changes during the net during the Summer months.

Special Report :

Meeting closed : at 8:58 pm Dave Leimenstoll made a motion to close the meeting, which was seconded by Tom Hansen.
