Meeting notes: April 14, 2014

The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by President John Farmer. There were 15 members and 13 visitors in attendance.

Secretary’s Report :
• Minutes of the March report was read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report :
• Was read.

Trustee’s Report :
• Repeater is doing fine. Both Harold Davis and Jay Wright have been in the hospital.

ARES Report :
• The monthly hospital simplex net will be this Thursday at 9:30am on 147.570
• Two training classes left this month, and will be the end of the ARES training sessions till next year. They are… 1.) April 19 NTS Training, 2.) April 26 Hendricks County EMA Director Dave Warren will give us updates on county issues. Both classes will be from 1-3pm and will be at the Senior Services Center 1201 Sycamore Ln. Danville.

RACES Report :
• The RACES Drill was held this past Saturday. Had a good turnout of hams checking in for Hendricks. Hendricks County was the primary county for District 5.
• The Park to Park Relay is June 14th. Bob passed around a clipboard for volunteers for this event.

Old Business :
• No report.

New Business :
• The club was given some wireless equipment.
• Dennis Gilbey made a motion to invite the couple from Canada who donated the above mentioned wireless equipment to this year’s club Christmas Dinner. This motion was seconded by Mark Sanders and was carried.
• Bob Burns will head the Hilltop contest which will be on September 27th of this year.
• This year’s Indiana QSO party May 3rd.
• At this year’s Brownsburg Hamfest, three gift certificates were given out.

Other Announcements :
• Either in May or June’s meeting, Mark Musick will talk about antennas.
• Indianapolis Radio Club will have a bus going to the Dayton Hamvention.

Meeting closed : at 8:38 pm Bob Thompson made a motion to close the meeting, which was seconded by Dave Asher.
