Meeting notes: May 13, 2013

The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by President John Farmer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 19 members and 3 visitors in attendance.

Secretary’s Report :
• Minutes of the April report was read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report :
• Wayne Fox presented the report. No expenses for the month.

Trustee’s Report :
• Harold Davis said that someone has used obscene language and “trashed” the repeater this past week. He will shut the repeater down if this happens again. The heaters are off of the “cans”.

ARES Report :
• Ron Burke said that this Thursday at 9:30am will be our hospital net. Frequency is 147.570 MHz.
• We now have MOU’s (memorandum of understanding) between Hendricks County ARES and both hospitals. This will allow us to work on building an emergency communications plan. We will also have a similar MOU with the Hendricks County Health Department. This one will involve Hendricks Regional Health and our county EMA.

RACES Report :
• Bob Burns commented that he did some work on the radios at the EOC in Danville, and at Hendricks County Comm. Center in Plainfield.
• Reminder that the Park-to-Park Marathon is June 15th.

Old Business :
• No Report.

New Business :
• John Farmer said that there will be a group of hams leaving for the Dayton Hamvention from here 6:30am Friday morning.
• Mike Rollins said the Hilltop will be this year, but no date has been set.
• John Farmer went through some of the topics for this year’s Field Day.

Meeting closed : at 8:26 pm Bob Thompson made a motion to close the meeting, which was seconded by Jay Wright
