Meeting Notes: October 14, 2019

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by Club President John Farmer.
There were 12 members and 3 visitors in attendance.

Secretary’s Report :Ron Burke
Minutes from September were read.

Treasurer’s Report :Wayne Fox
No expenses for this period.

Trustee Tech. Committee Report :

ARES Report : Ron Burke
Talked about the various activities HCARES has done during the month of September, including the Town of Plainfield’s Quaker Day Parade.

RACES Report :
Halloween Patrol on October 31st. Eight area neighborhoods were selected by the Hendricks County Sheriff for hams to cover.

Old Business :
My story series this month was by Jay Wright KK9L, next month will be Don Somerville KD9DHJ.
The club has decided to leave the club repeater alone for now, table any future discussions till Spring of 2020.

New Business :
A food vendor for the club’s Hamfest was voted on by Bill Pfaffenberger who made a motion to use the vendor, What’s Cooking Tonight as the vendor. This motion was seconded by Dan Dreyer, motion passed unanimously.
Discussion of the club having the use of Digital and DMR possibilities.

Other Announcements :
Vice President Mike Rollins will not seek re-election for 2020.
Next club meeting on November 11,2019 will be at the Senior Services Center because the govt. building will be closed due to Veterans Day.
Next HCARS Ham Training Class is scheduled to start on January 29th more details to follow.

Special Program :

Meeting closed : At 8:56pm Jay Wright made a motion to close the club meeting which was seconded by Brian Dickerson.
