The net control operator for this evening is [insert your call sign and first name]. For the purpose of this net, we will use the Hendricks County Amateur Radio Society call sign N9HC. This is a directed net with primary function of providing a pool of trained radio operators in the event of an emergency, or in the need of public service communications, with the focus on practicing the skills of net discipline, traffic handling, standard net procedures and net control operations.
